D
eaf and hard of hearing individuals who communicate using sign language face several communication difficulties. Accordingly, the need for sign language translators is growing significantly. In Saudi Arabia, deaf and hard of hearing individuals do not have the privacy or independence they desire. Thus, many rely on technology to communicate. In this project, we present SignSpeak, an Arabic sign language (ArSL) recognition system using a Leap Motion Controller to ensure speed and independence. SignSpeak provides two-way communication by translating ArSL into spoken language and transcribing spoken language into text.
